i wish vox had the ability to categorize posts like some of the other platforms....

brandon is growing so fast, and i hope i am able to write down and remember everything.  i don't even know what sort of stuff to write down, and by the time it passes, i realize i wish i had written it down or taken a picture or a video.  for example, i wish i had taken more pictures of his feet!  they are so cute, and they have gotten so big already.  i wish i had taken one picture each month or something.  also, the sounds he makes are changing, and i wish i had recorded the sounds he was making before!  also, he is growing out of all his outfits, so i wish i had taken pictures of him in each outfit before they had to be retired.  all kinds of little things like that make me sad that he's growing so fast.  i remember the "grown-ups" used to tell me how much i had grown since the last time they saw me, or how "time flies," and now i am the one who feels that way!

i'm a huge fan of socks that look like shoes for babies.  i loved the nike ones we got, but they don't seem to sell them anymore.

i had a hard time finding other options, so here's a list of other shoe-looking socks that i like:

last night we took a newborn care class at dayone in palo alto.  there were 7 couples in our class, and it was 3 hours long.  i thought it was really helpful to hear everything, and it really made me feel more comfortable.

everyone i've talked to says it's good to take a breastfeeding class, but i really don't want to shell out another $200 or so.  i think i'll try watching some instructional videos.

for those of you who are not easily grossed out, i watched a very interesting video on performing a c-section.  i've always wanted to be a surgeon, so this was really interesting to me.  consider yourself warned, though, because you get to see the WHOLE thing.

i FINALLY finished writing all my thank you cards.  i got most of them out before the holidays, but i still had a few stragglers left to write.  i will send them out on monday.  i posted all the pics on tim-and-jenny.com, in case you want to see.
